Canvas board craft project

I saw this idea on one of my favorite sites "Scrapbooks Etc." and thought it would be a great gift for my cousin's 1st Birthday. It was very inexpensive to make too! I bought an 18x22 canvas board at A.C. Moore on doorbuster this morning for $14, regular $22. The 2x2 paper squares were cut from various types of scrapbook paper and I used a hot glue gun to adhere them to the board. (since I had all of the paper, not sure what the cost would have been) All of the stickers and brads I bought either on clearance or doorbuster this morning and they all came to about $10. Therefore, the grand total was around $25. I had a lot of fun making this and I'm in the process of thinking of other ways to make this for different age groups.
The color in the pictures looks girly, but they are really reds, greens, blues & oranges for a boy.

Scrapbook Pages...

Finally! Here are some pages (that are my favorite) I want to share with you.

I like to put personal things that you want to save for a long time in scrapbooks. Airline tickets are one of those items. (bottom picture: NFL ticket)

I made a scrapbook of my Christmas' from when I was little. This was one of the pages I liked the most. To get the effect of different papers, all I did was layer them on top of each other. The 4 pink circles at the top are raised stickers. (they help the paper stay down because of their weight)

This is the 1st scrapbook I ever made. I was in 4th grade and I bought a purple binder, paper and started cutting and pasting away!

This was a fun one to make. My favorite is the last picture. Making a collage of a bunch of pictures makes it look more creative, I think!? You can do a lot of fun things with it.

I've done numerous scrapbooks in the past and i'm in the process of taking pictures of theem to post on here...so probably tomorrow I will have some pictures of some pages that I really love!

First Post!

Finally! After much consideration and a conversation with a friend, I decided it was time to blog! This blog is going to be about the little creative things that I do in my spare time. This first post includes some pictures of what I make.
